This workshop aims to explore a fusion of different dance styles and artistic expressions, incorporating choreographic elements from the show "Pixel" as well as exercises characteristic of the group’s personal style. This experience offers the opportunity to mix and explore different dance styles, including experimental break and experimental popping. The dancers from Cie Käfig will fuse their respective styles to offer a diverse and enriching artistic experience. The session will be dynamic and inspiring, allowing participants to push their limits while developing their unique identity in dance.

About the Facilitators:

Sofiane Tiet, a prominent figure in the emerging generation of choreographers, originally hailing from Belfort, France, has crafted a global career punctuated by significant achievements. His artistic journey has taken him across international stages, from Hiroaki Umeda's stage in Japan to Lene Boel's in Denmark. As a soloist, Sofiane made a significant mark by collaborating with Compagnie Käfig during the worldwide tour of "Pixel." He subsequently gained widespread recognition through the "Puma The Quest" project, where he explored diverse dance styles worldwide, propelling his career onto the international stage. Sofiane and Nathalie Fauquette created a unique dance duo, blending elements of classical and hip-hop, thus giving birth to an unprecedented dance style that has captivated millions online and enthralled people around the world.

Hugo Ciona began dancing at the age of 16, and gradually developed a style of movement halfway between Breakdance and Contemporary Dance, focussing mainly on floor fluidity and contact dance. At the age of 21, he met Canadian choreographer Andrew Skeels at the Théâtre de Suresnes for the creation of Finding Now. One year later, he joined Käfig, for "Pixel". Now aged 28, Hugo has been pursuing his career with Käfig for several years, working on a number of current and future productions.
