Do you wish to develop a solo piece but don’t quite know how to direct yourself? Do you find yourself struggling between the director's vision, the writer's imagination and the actor's abilities? What directorial tools can help you stage your piece? How to integrate elements like music, movement, etc. in your piece? How to block a single-actor scene? How to develop the third eye?

If these are some of the questions in your mind then this skill-training workshop is for you. The workshop will enable you to develop the director’s gaze. It will expose you to staging possibilities and vocabularies, and help you understand how to integrate other skills and elements into a performance piece.

You will be introduced to principles of text deconstruction, blocking, spatial design, and the fundamental question faced by all performers & directors - How to make choices?

NOT OPEN TO PUBLIC (The selection of participants for the workshop will be based on an open call)

Facilitator: Sapan Saran
