This conversation brings together Bruce Guthrie, Head of Theatre and Films at the NCPA, Mumbai, and Mark Dakin, Principal at TAIT UK for a deep-dive behind the scenes of a successful production, from small, intimate shows to large-scale touring performances. The session will unpack the technical, creative and ethical choices behind stage design and production, offering real-world insights into how today’s most exciting live experiences are imagined, engineered and brought to life—all to manufacture moments onstage that move people.

Presented by NCPA’s Art of the Possible, an initiative to build new training pathways for India’s designers, technicians, and stage managers, along with TAIT UK, a pioneering force in stage engineering and technology, with a body of work that includes Rihanna’s high-flying Super Bowl halftime show, kinetic stage setup for Beyoncé and Cirque du Soleil, Taylor Swift’s history-making Eras Tour and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour.
