Stationed at the Captain of Ports Jetty, the barge transforms into a vibrant floating venue where performances come alive against the backdrop of the sea, and sound intervenes to shape the atmosphere.

pause.dxa
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

pause.dxa is an experimental sound and music project by Sahitya and Harsh, based in Auroville, India. Initiated in 2023 as a sound immersion project, it explores the experience of listening by merging traditional sound practices with modern electronic approaches. Combining Dhrupad vocal improvisation with synthesized soundscapes, drones, and field recordings, their work emphasizes deep listening and the emotional resonance of sound. They have performed and collaborated across India and internationally, including at Ozora Festival (Hungary), MaHalla Berlin, and Magnetic Fields Festival.

Sarah Bahr x sound.codes
Time: 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Sarah Bahr is a Franco-German artist and educator working in experimental musical settings and on collaborative art projects. She was a scholarship holder of the Fondation Jan Michalski in Lausanne, La Cité des Arts in Paris, art3 Valence, the Tophoven grant by Robert-Bosch Stiftung, the Association Beaumarchais-SACD, and received repeated support from the Actoral Festival in Marseille, the Centre National du Livre, and Impuls Neue Musik in Germany.

Akash Sharma is an artist exploring electro-acoustic improvisation, data manipulation, algorithmic compositions, and sensor-based music, and is a pioneer in the sound-technology domain in India. He founded MusicTechSundays, India’s first community-led learning platform to understand and explore the rapidly changing landscape of music and technology. He is the founding director of sound.codes, a sound research lab based in Goa and Himachal, and works as chief researcher and archeo-acoustic conservationist.

Hemant Sreekumar
Time: 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Hemant Sreekumar is an artist exploring decay, emergence, and the unstable boundaries between sound, code, and perception. Trained in aesthetics, fine arts, and media, he creates performances and installations where psychoacoustics meets algorithmic indeterminacy. Using custom software and sonification, he transforms data, radio noise, and broken circuitry into shifting vibrational fields. Over two decades, he has built a body of work spanning synthetic audio, light, and time-based environments—each a study in resonance and entropy. Treating sound as both matter and inquiry, his works reveal the fragility of cognition in a world shaped by automation and data.

Kindly note that entry is subject to a first-come, first-served policy. Shuttle services will be available between festival venues in Panjim and Captain of Ports Jetty, Old Goa from 3:45 pm until midnight.
