Talks Corner

Date 17th December

12:00 PM - 01:30 PM

Gathering voices from across India, this session with the recipients of the SAF x FICA Public Art Platform unfolds through the stories, sites, and sensibilities shaping their ongoing projects.

Deeply rooted in local contexts and pedagogies, their work spans close readings of farming practices on the Yamuna floodplains, community based creative practices and spaces that dismantle gender stereotypes, the fragile forest ecologies of Chattisgarh, a rich genealogy of water stories from Goa and the embodied histories of instrument making traditions in Western Odisha.

The session will focus on a sharing of these complex processes and the many overlapping connections one can draw between relationships to land, communities, and cultural forms.
