About Arif Alam Khan:
Arif is a multidisciplinary artist and fabricator who works across stencils, lettering, murals, public art, metal installations, and sign painting. Before moving fully into art, Arif spent several years working at his fabrication shop, where he learnt metalwork, construction, and how to build almost anything with precision and problem-solving. This experience shaped his approach to materials, and today he enjoys working on wood, canvas, glass, metal, and a variety of surfaces.
Although Arif explores many mediums, sign painting is something he deeply enjoys and continues to learn and practise. Having assisted Hanif Kureshi for a long time, he has spent the past three years living and working in Goa, developing a visual language rooted in experimentation, craft, and everyday stories.
