This work lies at the intersection of spaces and stories — exploring how environments, both physical and emotional, shape the way children understand and express their lives. It invites viewers to witness how young people claim, imagine, and share personal space in a collective context.
Children will create drawings about their lives on square pieces of cardboard with flaps. Each square represents a room — a personal space where something important about their world is revealed. The installation forms a wall of “rooms” that others can open, inviting interaction and discovery. The grid of flaps becomes a mosaic of rooms, each one holding a piece of someone’s world.
