VENUES
Kala Academy
Kala Academy

Kala Academy, built by Charles Correa, is a landmark of architectural, cultural, and social significance – one of the only institutions in India offering a diverse range of courses across Western, classical, and interdisciplinary arts. As the cultural nerve centre of Panjim, it becomes a key festival venue for us to showcase powerful music, dance, and theatre performances by both Indian and international artists, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Academy’s iconic columns, pergolas, and riverfront setting.

The academy also offers you to walk into history and play Chaupad, the life-sized Indian board game once only reserved for kings! Then, explore an exhibition that traces the culinary and cultural past of salt. This venue is a must-visit spot for anyone with a passion for history and performances.

The Old GMC Complex
The Old GMC Complex

Nestled in the heart of Panjim, the complex built in 1842 housed one of Asia’s oldest medical institutions. This year, it will turn into a hub of powerful performances by leading theatre artists, inventive culinary creations and expansive visual arts and crafts exhibitions with hands-on workshops.

The complex also houses our Foundation Space, where we are celebrating ten years of the Serendipity Arts Festival. Take a break with carefully curated food and beverages, and don't miss the Alag Festival Shop, a unique retail experience celebrating responsible design, craftsmanship, and artistic innovation.
